CNC Machining Overview

In 2008 Bradleys' moved into remanufacturing and custom manufacturing by investing in 3 CNC lathes. Bradleys' facilities offer clientele re-manufacturing of certain motors and generators and custom manufacturing of OEM motors with our CNC lathes. Bradleys' can literally cut days from the manufacturing of a single part with our CNC lathes.

Benefits

  • 3 Onsite Lathes
  • Custom Manufacturing of OEM Motors
  • Remanufacturing of Certain Motors
  • Turning and Milling Capacities
  • Precise Multi-Face Machining

Process

Bradleys' can consult regarding the specifications of re-manufacturing or custom manufacturing of an electric motor. We have 3 lathes onsite that we can select from in order to offer the desired finish product.

A new design process, computer numerical control (CNC), allows for machines to use modernized machine tools. This allows a digitized/more up-to-date process. The CAD/CAM programs are used in modern CNC systems for the data programming. A computer file is stored that takes-in the requests needed to operate a particular machine, and then put into the CNC machines.

There are multiple tools into a single cell since requests might require more than one tool. This operation is automated to create a part that closely matches the original CAD design.

We complete a full array of CNC services from forming to milling to routing and turning. Our machine has the ability to handle many material types and varying thicknesses. Since we use the computer-generated machine, it ensures a high material yield with the least amount of waste.

Our lathes include:

  • 42" x 160" CNC Lathe
  • Second Machine with a 3 Axis, 7.5 hp Milling Center
  • Horizontal Milling Machine with 39" x 39" table & 10,000 lb.capacity
